In recent years, the countries of the European East are increasingly becoming the subject of research interest, with their socialist past, becoming almost a part of popular culture. In their works Poor, but sexy and Landscapes of Communism, Agata Pyzik and Owen Hatherley are trying to reconstruct the political and economic conditions that spawned the cultural production of socialism. They will talk about architecture, art, literature and popular culture of socialism and their reception today. The talk moderator will be Tihana Pupovac.
The conversation will be held in English, without translation.
